It was stock-up-on-paper-towels week. I tried to do that last week, but CVS was out of paper towels before I got there. Harump. And I know what you're thinking- More chapstick?? Well, if you must know, I give people lip balm when they come over. Did you hear that correctly, you say? And yes, you did. I was starting to go through withdrawals I tell you, between the lack of coupons, and the lackluster sale prices on makeup. I've also been having some skin issues lately, so I've decided to nix dairy for awhile and see if that helps. I'll be sampling almond milk for the time being. The verdict so far? LOVE! 11/9/12

Well, I'm back! Two things I discovered from taking a break from couponing:

#1- Cleaning up my binder took f-o-r-e-v-e-r. It took me 2 hours to clean out all the expired coupons from my binder. That sucked in itself.

#2- Clipping 5 weeks worth of coupon inserts takes even longer. I spent a whole day clipping all the coupon inserts I acquired during my break.

What I learned? I'm never taking a break again! j/k. But there must be a better way to take a break!

As for now, the hubby and I are staying with his mother, so couponing hauls will be small for awhile due to lack of storage space. But, it shouldn't be long before we are in the new house, and will have even more reasons to coupon!

I'm sooooo ready :)

9/23/12
ThermaCare Heat Wraps, Conair Curling Iron, Wet-N-Wild Nail Polish, NYC Lipstick, Crest Toothpaste, Rite Aid Hand Sanitizer, Maybelline Mascara, Colgate Optic White Toothbrushes.
One final haul, and it's my last haul for a month! Since we decided we are flying to Oregon, I realized I'm not going to have room to pack my binders. Fitting enough clothes into 1 suitcase for a month is tough enough as it is, not to mention we have to pack all this dog stuff. So, I'm going on a coupon hiatus for awhile. Since all my CVS extra bucks would expire before I get back from Oregon (and there are no CVS's in Oregon), I used all the extra bucks I earned today to buy me a new curling iron. I haven't bought a new 3/4" curling iron since college! It was time :) Here's this week's breakdown:

I really, really loved that Revlon coupon that came out last week, $5 off 1 Revlon product. In fact, I've used them all. Sigh. Well, hello there! This couponer is starting to get recognized at the local stores, and it's only been 4 weeks since I've started going to them. The lady at Rite Aid that works every Sunday likes me, I think, due to the fact that I'm pretty low-key in the world of couponers. The lady at CVS 100% knows me, and asked me how I did on my couponing this week. I think I did pretty good. She is obviously an extreme couponer, so she gives me tips, plus she gave me (2) $4 off a $20 purchase coupons. Score! Oh, and look! I got a chihuahua in my couponing haul, lol. I had an awesome couponing week! I sat down last night to coupon, and spent 3 hours organizing my binders, clipping inserts, planning a menu, and then making my list (which entails arranging my coupons for each store). The hubby was flabbergasted that I was going at it for so long (and even complained a little!), but today his annoyance turned into amazement. "I guess all that time was worth it!" he said. Love :)

Bounty Basic paper towels, Kashi Go Lean bar, Chex Mix, Rold Gold pretzels, Lay's Potato Chips, L'Oreal Eversleek shampoo and conditioner, Colgate toothpaste, Revlon lipstain, Revlon eyeshadow, Wishbone dressing, Febreze, Kashi bars
I'm hating the change of stores that came with our move. I'm pretty resistant to change, and I'd gotten comfortable with my Rite Aid, CVS, and Kroger. I'm doing ok at my new Rite Aid, not enjoying my new Kroger, and loathing my new CVS. I'm sure I will get back to my comfort zone, but it's going to take a while. There's 2 CVS's where I live now, and I can't decided which one I hate more and thus, which one will get my business. It's a toss up right now.
I'm changing the way I do my breakdowns, mostly to make it easier for me :) Here's this
week's breakdown:
CVS

6/10/12
Garnier moisturizers, Playtex tampons, Nivea cellulite cream, Sally Hansen nail polish, Revlon nail polish, and Revlon balm/stain.
Twas' a small week for couponing. As you can imagine, we were pretty darn busy this weekend! We did find time to go to the stores yesterday, but I didn't get any papers yesterday! I'm soooo mad. The hubby and I had so much work to do, shopping, errands, etc, that by the time we stopped by the gas station to pick up some papers, all the coupon inserts had been stolen out of every paper. I was furious, that is not good couponing etiquette. This, of course, was after I had spent an hour and a half at my new Kroger because I couldn't find anything. Yes, it was a frustrating day yesterday. Anyhoo, here's the deals I did pick up this week:
CVS: I picked up Playtex on sale this week, although I didn't have my $1 off coupon from the inserts yesterday. Boo. I did get $3 in ECB's for buying it though. I picked up some Revlon, just because I've been dying to try their new balm/stain pencils. I got that, and the Revlon nail polish, and made $8 in ECB's. Lastly, I picked up the cellulite lotion with a $2 off coupon and made $5 on it. After coupons and last week's vast rewards, I paid $19.46 out of pocket and made $16 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: It was all about nail polish yesterday! I picked up 4 Sally Hansen polish's since the deal was spend $15, get $5 back. The polish was also Buy 1, Get 1 50% off. I used (4) $1 off coupons on those. I also picked up the Garnier since it was buy 2, get $3 back. I used (2) $2 off coupons on the Garnier. After coupons and rewards, I spent $21.48 out of pocket and made $8 in UP's.

Total Spent- $40.94 on $84.92 worth of product. Savings of 52%. I'm chalking up the bad week to complete distraction :)

6/3/12
Tostitos, Gatorade, Ziploc bags, Ruffles, Dove Beauty Bar, Oral-B toothbrushes, Venus razors, Lady Speed Stick deodorant, Secret deodorant, Dove shampoo and conditioner
I knew it was going to be a good day after CVS today. I paid about $7 out of pocket on a 50-something-$ haul. I walked out of there with a big smile on my face, and some pep in my step. I couldn't wait to use my Buy 1, Get 1 Free Venus razor coupons. I can't say it enough, I.love.cheap.razors :)
CVS: I was coupon flush this week. Venus Razors were on sale for $14.29, I got 2 for $14.29. It was also part of a deal with the Secret deodorant where if you spend $30, get $10 back. I used $1 off coupons on all the deodorant. Lastly, I picked up the toothbrushes with CVS store coupons worth $1 off any toothbrush and a $0.25 off 2 manufacturer coupon. After coupons and rewards, I paid $5.33 out of pocket and made $16 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: I was doing the Dove deal at Rite Aid (spend $15, get $5 back), and I was slightly peeved to learn that my Rite Aid doesn't carry Dove's leave-in conditioner. Grrr. I ended up just getting Dove shampoo and conditioner, using (4) $0.75 off coupons. I wound up with the beauty bar to make sure my total was $15 (giving that one to the MIL). I also picked up 2 packs of razors with my Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon, paying $7.49 for both sets of razors. After coupons and rewards, I paid $11.42 and made $5 in UP's.
Kroger: Gatorade, Gatorade, Gatorade. I forever be buying Gatorade. Kroger won again this week, with Gatorade still on sale for $0.79. Kroger also had chips on sale, so I went with our standards. Tortilla for me and my salsa, Ruffles for the hubby and his ranch dip. I also picked up the Ziploc's for $1.99 each, using (2) $1 off coupons. I ended up spending $20.16 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $36.91 on $142.66 worth of product. Savings of 74%. Such a good week!

5/27/12
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, Gatorade, Finish detergent, Crest Pro-Health mouthwash, Lysol all-purpose cleaner, Clorox all-purpose cleaner, Snuggle fabric softener, Physician's Formula moisturizer, Maybelline mascara, Spot Shot stain remover
We had a pretty good couponing week. We cleaned up in cleaning products! I was most excited to see the Physician's Formula skincare line at CVS. I received a $12 off CVS store coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine, plus it was on sale for $19 and offering $15 in ECB's. You can bet I scooped that up! I'm excited to start using it, and review it in a couple of weeks. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS: As I mentioned, I purchased the Physician's Formula moisturizer at CVS. Maybelline products were Buy 1, Get 1 50% off (I always need mascara!). I also had a $3 off a $10 makeup purchase coupon to add on top of that. Crest Mouthwash was on sale for $5.49, I had a $1 off CVS coupon, a $0.25 off manufacturer coupon, and they were offering $3 in ECB's. After coupons and rewards, I spent $13.26 out of pocket and made $18 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: I decided to partake in their cleaning products sale, which was Buy $30, get $10 back. I picked up the Finish dish detergent at $1.99, with the sale price and (3) $1 off coupons. Spot Shot was on sale, and as you know, soon we will have nice carpet to take care of. Lysol was part of the sale, so I picked up plenty for scrubbing brand new toilets and brand new counters :) After coupons and rewards, I spent $24.94 out of pocket and made $10 in UP's.
Kroger: Well, it's summer here so obviously I'm buying Gatorade. Kroger won my business this week, at $0.79 a bottle. I also picked up the Snuggle, on sale for $2.99 and purchased for $1.99 after (2) $1 off coupons. I spent $11.96 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $50.16 on $117.54 worth of product. Savings of 57%.

5/20/12
Hefty garbage bags, Gatorade, Diet Mtn. Dew, Angel Soft toilet paper, Sparkle paper towels, Olay wet cloths, Almay makeup remover, Maybelline Color Tatoo eyeshadow, Sally Hansen nail polish, Natural Cheetos.
We ended up spending a little more than we normally do today. However, I'm still looking at it as a victory. We bought the hubby's mother $11 worth of pop (4-12 packs). We bought T.P. and paper towels to contribute to the hubby's aunt and uncle's household, since we will soon be using all of their stuff. We bought a ton of garbage bags (160!) so we could pack all of our blankets, pillows, comforters, etc. Garbage bags are expensive! I got them on sale, but I still ended up spending almost $13 on garbage bags. That's equates to about $32 of stuff we wouldn't normally buy. Here's the breakdown for the week:
CVS: Thanks to the garbage bags, I spent more at CVS than normal. I did get them on sale and with a coupon, so there's a plus. Olay wet clothes were on sale for $3.99, and I had a $3 off 2 coupon. I love that coupon! I picked up more of Almay's makeup remover with (2) $1 off coupons, and earned $4 in ECB's. I also had (2) $1 off coupons on the Sally Hansen polish, and earned $3 in ECB's. After coupons and rewards, I spent $29.62 out of pocket, and earned $7 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: It was a quick trip at Rite Aid. Since I was spending more at CVS, I curtailed Rite Aid. However, I couldn't resist picking up some Maybelline Color Tatoo eyeshadow. I haven't tried it yet, but I've been looking forward to it. I had (2) $1 off coupons, plus Rite Aid was offering $3 in UP's on Maybelline. After coupons and rewards, I spent $5.03 out of pocket, and made $3 in UP's.
Kroger: We spent way more at Kroger than we normally do, thanks to the paper products and pop. But we got all those things on sale, so we could have spent more money than we did. Kroger had the best price on Gatorade this week at $0.79. I couldn't pass up Natural Cheetos at $2 for 5, plus I had an e-coupon for $1 off 2. I will say this about Kroger, we got $21.90 worth of Gatorade for $7.90 and $21.16 worth of Diet Mtn. Dew for $11. I ended up spending $30.98 at Kroger after coupons.

Total Spent- $65.63 on $135.07 worth of product. Savings of 51%.

5/13/12
Kashi cereal, Gatorade, Olay wet cloths, Finish dish detergent, Venus razor, Right Guard deodorant,  Ibuprofen, Olay body wash, Sour Patch Kids, and Pure Protein bars.
Well, I'm apparently known as a couponer now. I went to check out at Rite Aid today, and the girl behind the checkout said to me, "It must be a slow week for sales. You're the first of our regular couponers I've seen today!". I have to admit, I was a little taken aback. I guess I never thought they'd remember me. Granted, I've been going in there almost every Sunday for the last year and it's almost always the same girl working,  but I always thought I was flying under the radar. Apparently not. Anyhoo, here's this weeks breakdown:
CVS: I had a pretty successful day at the ol' CVS. I scored a big deal on my Olay body wash. Normally $8.99, it was on sale for $6.48. I had a $3 off CVS store coupon, and they were offering $2 in ECB's on it. The hubby's Right Guard deodorant was Buy 1, Get 1 Free, plus I had (2) $1 off coupons. I also picked up the Olay wet cloths and the Venus razor. After coupons and rewards, I paid $15.14 out of pocket and made $6 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: Rite Aid was insanely successful today! The retail value of my haul there was $67.64, and I paid $21.53! Yowza! I picked up the ibuprofen on a Buy 1, Get 1 Free sale,  as well as the dish detergent. Gatorade was on sale for $0.88, cheapest spot in town this week. The hubby was clean out, it was a necessity. I also cleared the shelf on their Orange Gatorade, so against my principles! While I felt guilty, the hubby drinks this much in a week. Sorry peeps. I also picked up the Sour Patch Kids (I've been craving them for a month, I figured it was time to give in before it gets out of control!). So yeah, spent $21.53 out of pocket (after coupons and rewards) and made $3 in UP's.
Kroger: Definitely a slow week at Kroger. They had some healthy fare on sale though. I picked up the protein pars for $0.25 a piece with coupons! Kashi cereal was on sale plus I had a $1 off coupon, and I've been loving that for breakfast with berries. Spent $3.49 at Kroger after coupons.

Total Spent- $40.16 on $125.78 worth of product. 68% savings. Well, well. It was a good week :)

5/6/12
Pepsi 2 liters, CVS water, Lay's Potato Chips, Frosted Toast Crunch, Trix, Honey Nutt Cheerios, Aveeno cortisone cream, Kotex tampons, Physician's Formula powder, Listerine, Yoplait greek yogurt, Mentos gum, San Giorgio pasta, Quakes rice cakes
Another good week at Kroger. They've had good sales 2 weeks in a row. I wanted to get more Quakes, because I loooove Quakes. They were part of a deal where you have to buy 10 selected products to get that price, so I ended up just using them as a filler. I will enjoy that 1 bag though :) Here's the breakdown:
CVS: I always pick up water when it's on sale. CVS had it sale for $2.44 for a 24-pack. I scored a super deal on Physician's Formula powder. Normally $13.49, it was on sale for $8.49 and I had a $3 off coupon that the Magic Machine printed out for me. The Kotex was on sale for $3.99, with $3 in ECB's being offered. I also had a $1 off coupon, which made them FREE. I also picked up some mouthwash for the hubby, he's a Listerine lover. After coupons and ECB's, I paid $13.35 out of pocket and made $4 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: I've been in desperate need of cortisone cream (darn you itchy skin!). Rite Aid had it on sale Buy1, Get 1 50% off, as well as spend $10, get $5 back. Picked up the gum here too. After coupons and rewards, I spent $11.43 and made $6 in UP's.
Kroger: Added to my cereal stockpile at Kroger. They had General Mills cereals on sale for $1.99. I had a $1 off 2 coupon, as well as a $0.50 e-coupon for the Trix. Pepsi 2-liters were on sale for $1, and I had a (2) $1 off 2 coupon. I had a $1 off 2 coupon for the Lay's as well. Quakes were on sale for $0.99, as was the spaghetti. I picked up the yogurt for $0.89, as it was on sale for $1.89 and I had a $1 off coupon. I spent $15.32 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $40.10 on $88.04 worth of product. Savings of 54%.

4/29/12
Kroger chili powder, Tampax tampons, Triscuits, Kroger fruit snacks, Diet Mtn. Dew, Hunt's pudding snacks, Pantene Hairspray, RevitaLens contact solution, Rite Aid bleach, Kroger refried beans, Sally Hansen nail polish, Hunt's diced tomatoes, and Pillsbury biscuits.
So, 4 cases of Diet Mtn. Dew. Sheesh. We've been having a heck of a time with the hubby's mother and her fiscal irresponsibility. Kroger was having a fantastic sale on Pepsi this week. This sale also happened to line up with Pepsi releasing coupons this weekend. We were able to get (4) 24 packs of pop to take to his mom this week, all for $19.98. We're hoping it helps keep his mother from driving to McDonald's 4 times a day to get pop. Fingers crossed :) Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS: A slow week at CVS. I picked up the Pantene hairspray (my favorite) for super cheap. They were on sale 2 for $6.97 and Pantene just released a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon this week. I also received $1 in ECB's for those. I picked up my favorite contact solution on sale for $6.99, used a $2 off coupon, and received $3 in ECB's from buying it. After coupons and rewards, I spent $6.48 out of pocket and made $4 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: I was fresh out of bleach this week, so I picked up some of Rite Aid's bleach. I've been buying Rite Aid bleach lately, mainly because it's low priced and it works. People have been bugging me that I've haven't painted my toes yet for Spring, so I picked up some new nail polish. Hopefully it will inspire me. I also picked up the tampons, using a $1 off coupon. After coupons and rewards, I spent $7.99 out of pocket and made $2 in UP's.
Kroger: Kroger is where it all went down this week. I was finally to able to use e-coupons I'd been hoarding. Diet Mtn. Dew was on sale for $5.99, plus Pepsi released a $2 off 2 coupon. I picked up biscuits (I like to have them on hand for emergency meals) on sale for $1 and used a $0.80 off 3 coupon. Chili powder was on sale for $1, as were fruit snacks, and refried beans were on sale for $0.89 a piece. The hubby has been requesting Triscuits, which were on sale 2 for $4 and I had a $1 off 2 e-coupon. Pudding (on sale for $1, plus I used a $1 off 3 e-coupon) and Hunt's Tomatoes (on sale for $1, plus another $1 off 3 e-coupon) were the last things I bought here. I spent $31.94 here, but lI will tell you the retail value of everything I bought here was $64.08.

Total Spent- $46.41 on $101.02 worth of product. Savings of 54%. (Pretty good when you consider $20 of that total is pop for the MIL!)

4/22/12
Pillsbury cake mix, Lay's potato chips, Kleenex, Dove hairspray and body wash, Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner, Glade candles, Clearasil face wash, Mini Dingo bones, and Reese's minis.
Another so-so week. I was able to get the dog's their favorite mini bones, which I'd have to say really took Gizmo's mind off of his grooming. That dog is OCD, I swear. Luckily, he obsessed over his bone all day, instead of obsessing over licking himself. Sigh. Here's the week's breakdown:
CVS: I had an awesome coupon for Physician's Forumla skincare, but I was so disappointed to discover it's not carried at my CVS. Boo. I'd anticipated that though, and had some backup purchases planned. Picked up some more hairspray, as well as Dove body wash. Dove has good body wash. I also picked up some candles for the kitchen, and shower cleaner. After coupons and rewards, I spent $15.94 and made $9 in ECB's.
Rite Aid- Got my doggie bones here, on sale for $2.99 with $1 in UP's being offered. Kleenex was on sale for $1, plus I had a (5) $0.25 off coupon. I also picked up Clearsil face wash with (2) $1 off coupons, and $3 in UP's offered. After coupons and rewards, I spent $14.74 and made $4 in UP's.
Kroger- Picked up Lay's Potato Chips, 2 for $5, to go with Egg Salad BLT's this week. Spent $5 at Kroger.
Walmart- I was able to get cake mix for $0.75 a piece, on sale. I also picked up the mini Reese's for $0.50 a piece. I spent $3.50 at Wally World. I'm trying a recipe for Chocolate Cake Reese's Cookies to see if they are good enough to send my dad for his B-Day.

Total Spent- $39.18 on $88.06 worth of product. Savings of 56%.

4/15/12
Cascade detergent, Gatorade, Swiffer dusters, Febreze fabric refresher, Kellogg's fruit snacks, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, Cheetos, 409, Covergirl NatureLuxe lip balm, Revlon Photoshop primer.
So I like to eat children's fruit snacks. Who doesn't? Kellogg's are my favorites and they were on sale this week. I gave in to the temptation :) I was also able to stock up on my favorite Revlon primer this week, I paid $5.24 for each. Pretty amazing for a product that's normally $12.99 per bottle. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS: Revlon was Buy 1, Get 1 50% off this week. I had (2) $2 off coupons and a CVS store coupon for $5 off 2 that the magic coupon machine printed for me last week. I was so psyched to get my primer for $5.24 a piece! I also picked up Covergirl's NatureLuxe lip balm for $6 a piece. I had (2) $1 off coupons, plus the store was offering $3 in ECB's for Covergirl. After coupons and last week's rewards, I paid $14.23 out of pocket and made $3 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: It was cleaning supply day at Rite Aid for me! I picked up 409, 2 for $5 plus $1 back in UP's. I got 2 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for $0.99 after coupons. I also picked up the Swiffers, Febreze, and Cascade detergent here. After coupons and last week's rewards, I paid $12.46 out of pocket and made $4 in UP's.
Kroger: Obviously, I picked up fruit snacks, 2 for $4. Gatorade was having an unadvertised sale at $0.69 a piece, of course I had to get some! Lastly, I picked up the Cheetos since the hubby was out and wanted some more. I spent $12.93 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $39.52 on $93.20 worth of product. 58% savings.

4/9/12
Kellogg's Rice Krispies, Angel Soft toilet paper, Reynold's parchment paper, Purex stain remover, Snuggle fabric softener, Venus razor, L'Oreal mascara, Finish detergent, Mentos gum, Garnier moisturizers, Lady Speed Stick deodorant, Swiffer dusters.
Oh couponing! How I love thee! What was born out of necessity has now become the norm. I just can't imagine going back to how I used to shop (which could be defined as "willy-nilly"). I cringe that I used to think nothing of dropping $15 on T.P. As I've said before, why would I willingly just give the stores my money now? Just. Can't. Do. It. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS: Twas a light week at the ol' CVS. Picked up a Venus razor for $7.49 (after a $2 off coupon) and made $4 in ECB's. The only other thing I got at CVS was the deodorant, which I got for $1.99 after a $1 off coupon and made $1 in ECB's on it. After last week's rewards, I paid $3.86 out of pocket and made $5 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: I love when Rite Aid has dish soap on sale. This week they had it on sale for $7.99, plus it was Buy 1, Get 1 Free. I had a $1 off coupon, so I paid $3.49 a box for expensive detergent. I had to pick up some more gum for the hubby, which was on sale for $0.99. I got 4 and I had (2) $1 off 2 coupons. Garnier was still offering their deal, so I picked up some more BB cream (a new fave!) and some SPF lotion. I had (2) $2 off coupons and I made $5 in UP's for next week. After coupons and last week's rewards, I paid $14.95 out of pocket and made $5 in UP's for next week.
Kroger: Kroger had some awesome deals (unusual for the grocery store!). They had Angel Soft T.P. on sale for $1 and I had (2) $1 off 2 coupons. $0.50 a pack, love! Rice Krispies were on sale for $1.99, which I then used a $1 off 2 coupon on. Purex stain removers were on sale for $2.99 and I had (2) $1 off coupons for those. My big find was L'Oreal Voluminous mascara on sale for $5.99, and I had a $3 off e-coupon. That's an amazing find! I also picked up the parchment paper, fabric softener, and Swiffers here. I spent $20.62 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $39.43 on $99.14 worth of product. Savings of 60%.

4/1/12
Rice-A-Roni, Gatorade, Starbuck's Coffee, L'Oreal EverCare shampoo and conditioners, Mentos gum, Revlon eye primer, Revlon face primer, John Frieda glossing mist, John Frieda Frizz-E serum, Hall's cough drops, and Scunci hair bands.
Thanks to all my rewards from last week, I got to stock up on some normally expensive products for not a lot out of pocket. I was pretty pleased with these week's results. Here's the breakdown:
CVS: I should have had a stellar week at CVS. It was pretty good as it turned out, but it could've been better. First, I didn't get the coupons I was hoping to get in my inserts. Second, CVS didn't have any of my volumizer, which if they had, I would've gotten $10 more ECB's back. That's couponing for you. I did get the L'Oreal shampoo and conditioners, which are normally pretty expensive. I've been dying to try the EverCare line. I also picked up the Revlon face primer and eye primer. Thanks to coupons and all my ECB's from last week, I spent $6.44 out of pocket and made $7 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: Good deals at Rite Aid this week! I picked up some Scunci hair bands for free. They had a 36 pack on sale for $1.99 and they were offering $1.99 back in rewards. I picked up the frizz serum for Buy 1, Get 1 50% off, for which I had 2 $1 off coupons. There was also a sale on John Frieda for spend $15, get $5 back. Picked up some more gum for the hubby with coupons and rewards, and finally got cough drops for $1 per bag. After coupons and last week's rewards, I spent $14.16 out of pocket and made $8.99 in UP's for next week.
Kroger: Stocked up on the ol' Rice-a-Roni and Gatorade this week since both were on sale. The hubby snuck some fresh ground Starbucks coffee into the card, but it was on sale and I had a $1.50 off coupon. Ended up paying $6.49 for normally pricey coffee. I spent $15.49 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $36.09 on $117.08 worth of product. Savings of 69%.

3/27/12
Gatorade, Dole pineapple, Downy fabric softener, Tide laundry detergent, Garnier BB cream, Garnier gel-cream, Maybelline mascara, Nuance moisturizing serum, Nuance cooling eye gel, Nuance moisturizing eye cream, L'Oreal lip gloss, L'Oreal eyeshadow, L'Oreal illuminating primer, L'Oreal foundation, Garnier makeup removing towlettes.
It was one of those weeks that couponers dread... the expensive week. I don't know why it happens, but I always seem to run out of everything at the same time. I was out of foundation, primer, mascara, day and night eye cream, and to top it all off, moisturizing serum. These are expensive items, so I don't really stockpile them due to the cost. CVS blew my budget this week, but I'm able to justify it to myself that I rarely have to spend that much on beauty. Last time I had to do this was last July. I just did the best I could and tried to save as much as I could. The hubby pointed out that I could do without, but I'm not really that kind of girl. Sorry honey! Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS- CVS was having some good sales. While I spent a lot out of pocket, I got back $23 in ECB's. I told the hubby next week is going to be ah-mazing! I picked up the Maybelline mascara, on sale for spend $10, get $3 back. L'Oreal's cosmetic promotion was spend $25, get $10 back. I picked up the primer and foundation using 2 $2 off coupons and then added the eyeshadow and lipgloss. The color is similar to my Clinique lip gloss and is about $10 cheaper than Clinique. I'm hoping I like it. I gambled on my anti-aging products and am trying Salma Hayek's brand. Each item, normally $20, was on sale for $6.99, plus they were buy $20, get $10 back. I'm hoping I like those as well. After coupons and last week's ECB's, I paid $59.11 out of pocket. With $23 in ECB's, you could look at it like I paid $36.11. It was $106.01 worth of product, so I saved as much as I could.
Rite Aid- I've been dying to try Garnier's BB moisturizer so I included that in a Garnier deal. Garnier was buy 3 products, get $10 back. I had 2 $1 off coupons and got the BB moisturizer, gel cream, and makeup removing towlette's. When all was said and done, I paid $20.89 for the Garnier and got $10 back. A pretty decent deal. I added the Gatorade to my purchase since it was on sale 4 for $5 and get $2 back. After coupons and last week's UP's, I paid $23.14 and received $12 in UP's.
Kroger- Stocked up on laundry products. Downy was on sale $4.99 and I had 2 $0.50 off coupons that doubled to $1. Tide was on sale for $5.99 and I had a $1 off coupon. I picked up some more pineapple for my stockpile which was on sale for $1 and I had a $1 off 2 coupon. $0.50 a can, whoop whoop! I spent $13.97 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $96.22 on $167.74 worth of product. Savings of 43%.

Next week is going to be good!

3/18/12
Fuze smoothies, Suave body wash, New York Texas Toast, Wheat Thins, Garnier shampoo and conditioner, Domino brown sugar, Domino wite sugar, La Choy soy sauce, Garnier styler, Aveeno body lotion, Colgate toothbrushes, Reach toothbrushes
It was one of those weeks that I'm happy to be a couponer! I was able to score some sweet deals. The hubby went with me this week and, as always, was impressed. I did snag some $0.49 yogurt at Kroger but for some reason, I forgot to put it in the picture. Oh well. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS- Finally, a good week for CVS deals! Suave body wash (the only one the hubby likes) was on sale 3 for $6, and I had a Buy 2, Get 1 Free coupon that came in today's insert. CVS was offering $4 ECB's for buying $12 in Suave products. Garnier hair products were on sale 3 for $10 and offering $3 in ECB's back. I also had 2 $0.75 off coupons, as well as a CVS store coupon for $2 off. Lastly, I scored Colgate toothbrushes on sale for $3.49 with $2 in ECB. I combined that one with 2 $1 off coupons. After coupons and ECB's, I spent $11.22 out of pocket and got $11 in ECB's back.
Rite Aid- Rite Aid had a killer deal on Aveeno. They were offering $5 in UP's if you bought $15 worth. They had a store coupon in their ad this week for $2 off which I was able to combine with a manufacturer coupon for $2 off 2. So basically, I was able to use 2 store coupons with my manufacturer coupon and pay $9.98 out of pocket for 2. That's usually the price of 1 and that's not even mentioning the UP's I earned. The Reach toothbrushes were on sale for $2.99 with $2 back in UP's. I also used a $2 off 2 coupon on those. After coupons and rewards, I paid $9.01 out of pocket and made $9 in UP's.
Food Fair- I had to stop by Food Fair this week to get some free garlic bread. Can't pass up a freebie! Texas Toast was on sale for $1 and I had a $0.50 off coupon that doubled to make them free. I also picked up some low-priced brown sugar, soy sauce, and aluminum foil. I ended up spending $7.51.
Kroger- Kroger had smoothies on sale for $0.69, so I picked up some of those to give a try. Sugar was on sale for $1.99 plus I had a $0.75 off 2 coupon. Sugar is going fast these days, thanks to all the baking! I also picked up the Wheat Thins for $1.49 a box after coupons. I spent $10.95 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $37.30 on $107.01 worth of product. Savings of 65%. Cowabunga!

3/11/12
Vitamin Water, Maxwell House coffee, Oreo's, Sparkle paper towels, Angel Soft toilet paper, Doritos, Hershey's Kisses, Reese's mini-eggs, Maybelline mascara, Revlon eyeliner, Renuzit air fresheners.
Skipped Food Fair this week and had a decent week of couponing. It seems like I haven't been saving as much lately, but I stop and remind myself that every dollar I save, is a dollar I would previously have willingly given to the store. For me, that makes it worth it. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS- CVS was having a decent paper towel and toilet paper sale, so I picked those up. It was 2 for $10, I had a $1 off coupon for the paper towels and the store was offering $2 in ECB's. I can't believe I used to pay $13-14 for one package of T.P! I've accumulated a fair amount of recipes that use Hershey's Kisses, which were conveniently on sale for Easter. I had a $2 off 3 coupon, plus a CVS store coupon for $1 off. They were also offering $3 in ECB's for those too, which means I ended getting those for $1.50 a bag.  I also picked up the Maybelline Mascara here. I ended up spending $21.98 out of pocket (after coupons and ECB's) and I made $8 in ECB's.
Rite Aid- I was pleasantly surprised to see Renuzit coupons in today's inserts. I ripped those babies right out! Renuzit's were already on sale for $0.88 and I added a Buy 2, Get 1 Free coupon on top of that. I also picked up the Revlon eyeliner for Buy 1, Get 1 50% off, while getting $4 in UP's. After coupons and UP's, I paid $8.64 out of pocket and made $4 in UP's.
Kroger- Kroger was having one of their mega savings events and I ended up getting some steals! Maxwell house coffee was on sale for $7.49 and I had a $1.50 off coupon. A good price for spendy coffee! Oreo's were on sale for $2.49, plus I had a $1 off 2 coupon. I picked some Doritos up for the hubby, which after coupons were $1.60 a bag. And finally,  I got Vitamin water for $0.60 a piece. I spent $16.20 at Kroger.

Total Spent- $46.82 on $103.33 worth of product. Savings of 55%.

3/4/12
Filipino Berino olive oil, Crisco canola oil, Bugles, Little Debbies snacks, Complete contact solution, Listerine, Rice-A-Roni, Tide action pacs, Ziploc sandwich bags, Venus razor, Olay face wash, Secret deodorant, Taco Bell refried beans
It was a pretty good week for couponing. Little Debbies were a good price this week so I stocked up for the hubby's lunches. I also snagged him some Bugles, he loves those things! Here's the breakdown for the week:
CVS: I was badly needing some face wash. Olay was on sale for $3.99 and I had a $3 off 2 coupon. Snagged those for $2.50 a piece! Olive oil finally went on sale again for $3.99 and I had a $1 off coupon. I also picked up the Venus razor here, to earn some ECB's for next week. After coupons and ECB's, I spent $11.96 and made $5 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: I have been loving Rite Aid lately! I picked up the Secret deodorants for $2.99 a piece after $1 off coupons, plus they were offering $1 UP rewards on those. My contact solution was on sale for $7.99, I had a $1 off coupon, and they were offering $4 in UP's for it. Thanks to a $1 off coupon, I got a large bottle for Listerine for $3.49. I also picked up the Tide and the Ziploc bags here. After coupons and UP's, I paid $16.95 and made $6 in UP's for next week.
Food Fair: I love having refried beans in the pantry for quick tostadas, bean burritos, and bean dip. Taco Bell refried beans are house favorites and they were on sale for $1. I also picked up canola oil for $1.99. I ended up spending $5.99 here.
Kroger: Little Debbies were on sale for $1.25 so I ended up getting 3 of these. Bugles were on sale 2 for $3 and I had a $1 off 2 coupon. Rice-A-Roni was also on sale, I like to keep these in the pantry for a quick side dish, if needed. I ended up spending $8.75 at Kroger.

Total spent- $43.65 on $106.01 worth of product. Savings of 59%.

Here's who helped me coupon and make my list on Saturday :)

2/26/12
Kikkoman Panko breadcrumbs, Bounty Basic paper towels, Libby's canned corn, Keebler sandwich crackers, Pantene shampoo & conditioner, Right Guard deodorant, Mentos gum, Schick men's razors
This was a light week for couponing. I plan on doing a lot of baking this week as my brother's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks! I am going to have to perfect those cookies this week in order to get them shipped off to Oregon soon. I also have to go to Wally-World to buy chicken breast for the month this week, so there goes a lot of the weekly budget. Here's this week's breakdown:
CVS: I was planning on buying free gum at CVS this week but I searched CVS high and low and there was no free gum to be found (true to form for CVS). I only ended up buying one men's razor. After coupons, I paid $6.49 and made $4 in ECB's.
Rite Aid: Rite Aid was the place to be! I had $9 in UP's to use from last week plus they were having some great sales. I picked up another men's razor for cheap and I did find free gum at this store, like always. It was good week for Jerame as his deodorant was on sale and I had a $3 of 2 coupon. I also picked up the Pantene here. After coupons and UP's, I spent $4.59 and made $8 in UP's. Not too shabby!
Food Fair: Bounty paper towels were on sale this week so I decided to stop by the ol' Food Fair. Libby's canned veggie's were also on sale and I do used canned corn for certain dishes and soups so I picked those up with coupons for $0.24 a can. I also picked up the Keebler sandwich crackers for $1 a piece (the hubby loves them in his lunch). I ended up spending $7.75 at Food Fair.
Kroger: I didn't coupon for much at the Kroger, but I did pick up these Panko breadcrumbs for $0.67 after a $1 off coupon! Love!

Total Spent- $19.50 on $63.49 worth of product. Savings of 69%.

2/19/12
Gatorade, Glade candles, Domino white sugar, Purex Fabric Softener, Maxwell House coffee, Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Vaseline lotion, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, Cascade action pacs, Swiffer wet cleaning cloths, Colgate toothpaste, Domino brown sugar
I was really pleased with my Rite Aid trip this week while CVS was a big ol' dud. I did have a $10 CVS cash card so I stocked up on some cleaning supplies but CVS didn't do much for me this week. It was another so-so week, but not every week is going to be a blow out. Here's the breakdown:
CVS: I picked up the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, on sale 3 for $7 plus I had a coupon for $1 off 2. In addition I got the candles which were on sale for $3 which I used a coupon for $2 off 2. The last thing I got here was Swiffer wet mops, which were also on sale for $3.99 and I used a $0.50 coupon. I spent $3.49 out of pocket but I didn't make any ECB's for next week (I didn't feel like doing any of the ECB deals, they weren't that good!).
Rite Aid: Toothpaste was a moneymaker! It was on sale for $3.50, get $3.50 back in UP's. I was completely surprised they still had it in stock when I strolled into the store at 2 pm in the afternoon. I used $0.75 off coupons off on those and made $1.50 off of it! The Vaseline lotion also was a small moneymaker, it made me $0.03! It was on sale for $2.97, get $2 back in UP's. I used a $1 off coupon on that as well. I picked up the Cascade dish soap for $2.49 a piece after coupons to complete this trip. Thanks to $5 in UP's from last week, I spent $7.45 out of pocket and made $9 in UP's.
Food Fair: Coffee was on sale again, so I had to stop by and pick some up for $5.99. Sugar was also on sale and I had coupons for that as well. I ended up spending $12.95 here.
Kroger: I always pick up Gatorade on sale when I can so I picked up a couple here for $0.79 (it's all the hubby drinks!). Microwave popcorn was on sale for 50% off so I picked some up for the hubby. He likes to take it to work for a snack. I also picked up the fabric softener because I was in desperate straights this week. I spent $15.98 here.

Total Spent- $39.87 on $98.80 worth of product. Savings of 60%.

2/12/12
Samy Fat Foam Hair Color, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Hellman's Canola Mayo, Sparkle Paper Towels, Quilted Northern Toilet Paper, Cheetos Puffs, Finish Quantum Tabs, Ragu, Renuzits, Pillsbury Biscuits, Almay Eye Makeup Remover, Maybelline Mascara, and Colgate Toothbrushes
I had a decent couponing week. Not fantastic, but decent. Rite Aid has a super deal on dish washer tabs right now but someone had rudely cleared the shelves at my Rite Aid and I was only able to get one. Sigh. I might check back later in the week. Here's the breakdown:
CVS: CVS was having another spend $30, get $10 back sale so all my purchases went toward this. I picked up the paper towels and toilet paper for this. My mascara was Buy 1, Get 1 50% as was Almay's eye makeup remover. I also had 2 $2 off coupons for the Almay. The toothbrushes were also Buy 1, Get 1 50% off and I had 2 $0.40 coupons for those. I ended up spending $24.59 out of pocket and making $10 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: I wish I could have gotten more of the dish wash! It was Buy 1, Get 1 50% off and it was on sale for $2.49, plus I had $1 off coupons! If I could have gotten more, they would have been $0.87 a piece! Nuts! I also picked up the air fresheners (musty closets!) and the hair color. I ended up spending $10.03 out of pocket and making $5 in UP's for next week.
Kroger: I stocked up on some pantry staples and snacks for the hubby. Ragu was cheap this week, I like to use that as a base for a quick tomato sauce or a quick pizza sauce. With coupons, I was able to get that for $0.89 a jar. The hubby loves Pillsbury biscuits which I was able to get for $0.68 a can, thanks to them being on sale for $0.99 and having a $0.30 off 2 coupon (my Kroger doubles). I also picked up some fruit snacks and Cheetos for him. Lastly, I picked him up his cholesterol-free mayo because man, does that boy love his mayo :) I ended up spending $12.14.

Total Spent- $46.76 on $100.18 worth of product. Savings of 53%.

2/6/12
Snow's canned clams, RevitaLens contact solution, Arm-n-Hammer laundry detergent, Garnier Nutriusse hair color, Pantene hairspray, Gatorade, Revlon primer, and Nivea lip balm
Once again, not impressed with the sales this week. Luckily, I had a wealth of Extra Bucks to use at CVS so I got the lions share of my haul there. It wasn't my best week but next week is looking to be lucrative. Here is the breakdown:
CVS: 32 oz Gatorade was on sale 5 for $5 plus they were offering a $1 ECB on it. I picked up hair color for $3.99 thanks to a $2 off coupon. CVS was offering $3 ECB's on my favorite contact solution so I scooped that up as well. I also picked up the lip balm and the Pantene hairspray at CVS. I think once all the lip balm sales are over, I won't have to ever buy it again! I ended up spending $17.11 out of pocket and making $8 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: Rite Aid had one of favorite detergents on sale 2 for $8 and they were offering $2 in UP's on it. I also had $1 of 2 coupon for those. I also picked up the Revlon primer there. It was 40% off, I had a $2 off coupon, and they were offering $4 in UP's on it. Plus, I have just been dying to try it. I ended up spending $15.88 out of pocket and making $6 in UP's.
Kroger: Turns out it was a great week to plan on making clam chowder! I had budgeted $2.99 for 1 can of clams and I needed to get 3. There was an unadvertised sale on clams and they were $1 per can! I ended up getting 9 cans for what I thought was going to be the price of 3. Love it!

Total Spent- $41.99 on $97.75 worth of product. Savings of 58%.

1/29/12
Propel fitness water, Goldfish crackers, Pringles, Pepsi products, Gatorade, Febreze fabric refresher, and Physican's Formula powder
I have to admit, the sale papers didn't really excite me this week. This tells me that either there were no really good deals or my stock pile is so well stocked, I don't really care to add much product to it. Truth be told, it's the latter reason. I did spot a few deals I didn't want to pass up though.
CVS: I was really excited to see Febreze coupons in my Sunday paper this week. I have been out of Febreze for a while and have been just too darn stubborn to pay full price for it. Anyways, CVS had it on sale for $4.99 and I had a couple of Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupons to burn. I ended up getting Febreze for $2.49 a bottle (retails at ~$6.49 a bottle). I also picked up the Pringles (for the hubby!) thanks to a $1 off on 4 ECB's deal and a $1 off 4 manufacturer coupon. I also picked up the powder at CVS but only because I had to and they were offering $7 in ECB's if you spent $10 or more. I spent $25.43 out of pocket and made $8 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: Rite Aid was having a great sale on Pepsi products thanks to the Superbowl, buy 3 for $9.99 and get $2 in UP's. I don't drink pop very often (probably once a month or so) but my in-laws love the stuff! They always want it when they are here so I try to stay stocked up. I bundled the Pepsi products with a Superbowl snack sale they were having where if you spent $15 in specified products, you get $5 in UP's. I put the Pepsi towards this and bought the 6 Gatorades to round out my purchase. I ended up spending $11.99 out of pocket (thanks to my UP's from last week) and making $7 in ECB's.
Kroger: Kroger was still having the same sale as last week so I gladly scooped up some more Goldfish for $0.99 a bag. I had a migraine last week and the only thing I managed to keep down were some Goldfish crackers. I also picked up the Propel fitness water at $0.49 a bottle. I spent $5.41 here.

Total spent- $42.83 on $89.20 worth of product. Savings of $52%. Not every week can be like last week :)

1/22/12
Propel Fitness water, Hunt's diced tomatoes and tomato paste, Finesse hairspray, Kleenex, Nature's Bounty vitamins, Kleenex, Finish dish soap, Tide Stain Release Boosters, Pledge multi-surface spray, Goldfish, Combos, Revlon nail files, Blistex, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and Mentos gum.
I was particularly proud of my work this week, so you can find the breakdown on this haul here: "Robbed The Store...And Then Some!"

1/15/12
Kraft Mac-n-cheese, Kellog's Raisin Bran, Ziploc bags, Scott Paper Towels, Hunt's Snack Packs, Kleenex, Wheat Thins, Vitamin Water, Cottenelle wipes, Blistex, Almay eye shadow, Revlon eyeliner, Mentos gum.
Here is the haul for this week. The hubby went with me this week and as usual, he was pretty pleased. I was able to get some cheap makeup, cheap mac-n-cheese, and cheap pudding. Mac-n-cheese and pudding are two of the very few foods I can manage to keep down when I have a migraine. The gum was free! I am building a good stash of gum, which the hubby likes to take to work with him. Here's some of the weeks highlights:
CVS: CVS was having a great sale this week, which was spend $30 on select items and receive $10 in ECB's. Almost everything I bought at CVS was part of that sale which included the Kleenex, Wheat Thins, Cottonelle wipes, the Scott paper towels, and the Revlon eyeliner. I also picked up the Almay eye shadow which was not part of that deal but it was a money-maker! It was on sale for $5.99. I had a CVS store coupon for $3 off and a $2 off manufacturer coupon, so I paid $0.99 for it. CVS was offering $3 in ECB's for this item so I ended up making $2.01 on that! I ended up spending $23.82 but I made $13 in ECB's for next week.
Rite Aid: I picked up the gum, Vitamin Water, the Blistex, and the Ziploc bags here. The gum was on sale for $1 and I had $1 off coupon. I had $3 in UP's from last week so I ended up paying $6.80 out of pocket and made $2 in UP's.
Food Fair: The highlight here was $0.67 for mac-n-cheese. I also picked up the Raisin Bran on sale here.
Kroger: Pudding cups were on sale for $1 and I had a $0.50 off 3 coupon which doubled to $1 off. I ended up getting the pudding for $0.67 a package.

Total spent- $39.68 on $95.84 worth of product. Savings of $59%.

1/9/12
Rubbing alcohol, Thermacare Wrap, Clairol Nice-n-Easy foam, M&M's, Garnier Hair Color, Maxwell House Coffee, Campbell's tomato soup, Ibuprofen, Garnier Skin Cream, Finish Dish Soap, croutons, Febreze Set and Refresh, and Febreze Air Effects.
Twas' a great week for deals! My only disappointment was the regional inserts I got didn't include any Garnier coupons. I was not happy. Their hair color is cheap and works for my hair. It was also on sale at a great price this week. Luckily, I was able to print some $3 off coupons from redplum.com so I was able to buy some. Thank goodness because I used my last box 3 weeks ago! The M&M's and the Thermacare Wrap were free! The breakdown:
CVS- Clairol hair color was on clearance for $4.99 and I had a $3 off coupon, making them $1.99. Amazing for hair color that is normally $10. The Garnier skin creams were on sale for $5 and I had $2 off coupons, making them $3. I also received $5 in ECB's for the Garnier! Additional items purchased were the dish soap, a $15 bottle of Ibuprofen, the rubbing alcohol, and the M&M's. Spent $29.22 and made $6.75 in ECB's.
Rite Aid- They had my Garnier hair color on sale for $5.99 and I had $3 off coupons, making them $2.99. I also picked up the Thermacare wrap there. Thanks to some UP's from last week, I ended up spending $3.98 and making $3 in UP's. Score!
Food Fair- Picked up the coffee for $5.99 and tomato soup for $0.59 a can! Also grabbed some cheap croutons there.
Kroger- Thanks to a couple of e-Coupons, I picked up a Febreze Air Effects and Set and Refresh for $0.49 a piece!

Total spent- $46.27 on $126.16 worth of product. Savings of 63%. Pretty happy today :)

1/2/12
Tide Stain Release Boosters, Kashi cereal, Playtex tampons,  Rephresh  tampons, Curel lotion, Pantene  hair stylers, Dawn dish soap, Secret deodorant, Swiffer wet cloths, Werther's soft caramels, Scunci hair ties, Maybelline mascara, and Nivea lip balm.
There were a lot of good deals this week, I definitely had to pick and choose. I picked up the chapstick, the lotion, the dish soap, the Tide, the yellow box of tampons, and the mascara at CVS. Mascara was a necessity this week and I never have coupons for my mascara, thus making my trip more expensive than the norm. I ended up spending $28.64, with $15 of that being the mascara. I did make $7 in ECB's though. I picked up the Pantene, Swiffer wet cloths, hair ties, the pink box of tampons, and the caramels from Rite Aid. I did excellent there, paying $13.80 while making $5 in UP's. And finally, I found some great buys at Kroger. The cereal was an excellent buy at Kroger. They had it on sale for $2.24 plus I had a coupon for $1 off. Pretty good for Kashi's Go Lean cereal! I also picked up the deodorant there as it was on sale for $0.99 and I had a $0.25 off coupon, making each deodorant $0.49.  I ended up spending $44.68 on about $98.71 worth of product, with savings of 55%. I aim for 30% savings (no extremes here!) but I do practice realistic couponing, as opposed to extreme couponing.

And this is just the Proctor and Gamble insert cut up! Heaven!
Happy New Years to me! There were 4 inserts in the Sunday paper this weekend so I stocked up so I could as many coupons as possible (for my small house). My binder is fantastically full now and I wish it were always that way!
