Better As A Memory

This piece of bare land is very near and dear to my heart.

This piece of bare land will soon be a memory, a long distant memory.

This is where the hubby and I are building the house! It's just waiting for a septic system and inspection before construction starts and we break ground. The hubby and I went to the property on Saturday so he and his father could stake out where the house was going to be, how it would layout, and to make sure the design we picked would work.

It's gonna work!

Here's a picture of the other side of the lot, with the dozer that the hubby's uncle used to even out the dirt with. Our garage is going to be at this end of the lot, so a couple of those trees will be taken down. We do want to keep as many trees as we possibly can though!

Here's a look at the gravel road that leads to the property, along with one of our closer neighbors at the end of the lane.

Our builder's sign. It's happening people!

This is a picture of the property taken back from the gravel road. I'm so darn excited, I wish they were starting right now! Take a good look, because like I said, this will all be a distant memory soon.

And as my title suggests, these pictures of the bare land are better as a memory (little shout out to Kenny Chesney there).
