I've come to respect a beauty bargain. I use to buy next to nothing at the drugstore in regards to makeup, and instead chose to spend waaaaay to much money on cosmetics at Sephora. There are still a few high-end products that are worth it to me to shell out the big bucks.
Without further ado, here are the staples in my makeup bag-
From top left:
Revlon Photoshop Perfecting Primer- This primer is by far my favorite primer, from the drugstore at least. It works, and it's super affordable. It really does even my skin, reduce the appearance of pores, and make my foundation last all day.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation- Quite possibly the best drugstore liquid foundation I've tried. It lasts the longest and provides the best coverage out of the many, many drugstore foundations I've tried.
MAC StudioFix Powder Foundation- This compact powder is what I use as concealer. Concealers always seem to look cakey on my skin, so I tend to avoid them. I'll buff this on around my nose and my chin, which is where I seem to get the most breakouts. This is a pricey product, but it's completely worth the money and lasts me forever.
Smashbox Bronze Lights- Another pricey product. I like to use this product because my skin is so light. Some bronzers can make fair skin look dirty, but this looks natural.
Sephora Powder Brush- This is the brush I like to use for putting on bronzer, as well as powder. It's a well-made brush, so whatever product I'm putting on goes on evenly. Blending is also a cinch with this brush.
L'Oreal TrueMatch Blush- An affordable product that really brightens up my face. Since my face is so round, I don't use much blush. I just apply a small amount right on the apples of my cheeks.
EcoTools Contour Brush- I like the angle of the bristles on this brush, it's perfect for distributing a little blush on the apples of my cheeks. I tend to only use this brush for blush. It's also a good price, and you can pick up this brand at most drugstores.
L'Oreal TrueMatch Powder- Using my powder brush, I dust my face with this powder post-primer, foundation, bronzer, and blush. It sets my makeup for a long-lasting day.
Revlon ColorStay Highlighting Powder- I'm not into a dewy makeup look (I think it makes me look oily), so I use this powder sparingly. I apply it right below my eyebrow arch, to the bow of my lip, and occasionally in the corners of my eyes.
From top left:
Shiseido Eyelash Curler- The BEST eyelash curler ever. I've never found a better one. Always worth the money.
Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner- I've been using this self-sharpening eyeliner since I was 16. Talk about loyalty. This eyeliner goes on smoothly without tugging, and stays put all.day.long.
MAC Paint- I've tried every single cream eyeshadow at the drugstore, but this product is still the creme de la creme. I use this every single day. I can put any color of eyeshadow over the top of it for a super shimmery, pigmented look. It never creases or feathers, and my eye makeup lasts all day.
Make For Ever Cream Eyeshadow- Goes on like the MAC paint, but comes in a much darker brown than any of the MAC paints. I love to use this for a smoky-eye look.
Urban Decay Naked Palette- The best eyeshadow palette ever. Ever. Run out and buy it if you can. You won't regret it.
Maybelline The Colossal Mascara- This really fattens up lashes. I buy this in the waterproof formula, in Glam Black. I always have this in my makeup bag. Very comparable to higher end mascaras, and way more affordable.
Maybelline One-By-One Mascara- This is the mascara I use right after curling my eyelashes. It really sets the curl. I, of course, buy it in waterproof and in the darkest black they offer.
Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil- The only drugstore brow pencil that doesn't look reddish in my eyebrows.
Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara- I use this after I've penciled in my eyebrows and combed them. This keeps them in place without added color.
From left:Revlon ColorStay Lipliner- I love this lipliner. I buy it in "Nude", it looks very natural on my lips. None of that 90's, dark lipliner look for me :)
Revlon ColorStay Kissable Balm Stain- I'm in love with these moisturizing pencils! I've bought a ton of colors because I love them soooo much. The color looks so pretty after it's faded, leaving a natural-looking flush of color on my lips. My favorite color so far is "Honey".

Skin Care
Philosophy products are some of my favorite products on the market. Their Hope in a Jar is one of the most effective moisturizers I have found. I also enjoy their eye creams, their microdermabrasion kits, and they have an amazing retinol cream for acne.

Olay is my go-to for skin care right now. I love their day lotion with SPF, their moisturizing serums, their eye creams and gels, and their nighttime lotions.

Hair Care
Pureology products are awesome. Expensive, but awesome. Their moisturizing shampoo and conditioner are luxurious and a bottle does last a long time as you don't have to use much product due to its effectiveness.
